Wearing diapers at the gym

For people who suffer from urinary and bowel incontinence or simply enjoy wearing diapers on a daily basis, this means you will eventually find yourself in settings where you must keep your diaper discreet but also still comfortable.

Many people exercise at local gyms on a daily basis and if you have a gym membership, diaper wearing can become a bit difficult. Here are some tips on how to remain discreet while exercising.

Baby powder:

If you are running on a treadmill, lifting weights, etc, you will need to apply a lot of baby powder to make sure any moisture from sweat and urine is taken care of. You will be exerting a lot of energy while working out and your body will produce more sweat. Unless you want a clammy diaper at the end of a workout, you need to apply a generous amount of powder. Lotion would also be a good idea so that there is a barrier between sweat and your skin.

Discreet clothing:

If you are working out on exercise equipment, you will need to wear clothing that is comfortable and discreet. To hide the thickness of a diaper, you should purchase some sport underwear from brands like Under Armor. This type of underwear will naturally conform to your body and will reduce a lot of the bulkiness of the diaper. This will allow for comfort and nobody will be able to tell you are diapered.

Preparedness is key:

Accidents happen and you can never be too prepared. If you are going to the gym, along with the proper clothes, you also need to bring some extra supplies. If you are going to be at the gym for more than an hour, it’s best to carry a small backpack or gym bag with spare incontinence supplies. You should carry not only extra diapers, but wet wipes to keep up hygiene, diaper cream to treat any rashes, and plastic bags for proper disposal. You should keep these supplies in a gym bag in your car whenever you’re traveling or going to be out of the house for a few hours. You never know when it might come in handy.

Booster pads:

Additionally, if you don’t want to carry around a heavy bag full of supplies, you can consider wearing a booster pad inside your adult brief. Companies like ABUniverse sell booster pads that are designed to increase the absorbency of your initial diaper. This will allow for you to not have to change as often as you might. You may be able to wear your diaper with a booster pad until you get home. That way you will have more privacy to change.

Follow these tips and whether you’re at the gym or any public setting, you will be both comfortable and inconspicuous.
